Thanks for the awesome birthday party at our last event. Over 100 people came along to celebrate, have a piece of cake and meet some new friends.

I’ve had a few phone calls from people this month tentively looking into the possibility of coming along to their first Duck Soup event. I’m really glad you have called to discuss your situation and your expectations and concerns. It’s only through the grabbing of this opportunity to widen your social circle that you will learn what you need to know about our networking group and whether you are a good ‘fit’ or not with our goals.

For those of you reading this and still wondering whether you have the courage to come along (usually alone!) I’d like you to give me a call too and we can talk about it – Adrienne 544-2088.

After 6 months of events, Duck Soup has grown to be a friendly and welcoming group with exactly the same set of expectations as you have. There WILL be people there just like you whom you will find without too much trouble. These people are looking for connections with other Nelsonions just like you are. Please be confident we are NOT a matchmaking or hook-up joint and you won’t feel out of your depth for long.

We believe it is not commonly known that there are a lot of single (unattached) people ‘out there’ who have difficulty mixing generally outside of their work environment. Clubs and societies have their rules and conditions. Duck Soup had taken a facilitating view of allowing people to mix without strings.

There is no cost to those who participate and there are no strings attached. Also, the organisers are not keeping ‘tabs’ on any of the participants and people are free to come and go as they please. The word “mix” has no particular connotation except in the minds of those who present themselves and why they are there is neither our business nor our concern. We just hope that whoever avails themselves of the opportunity enjoys the company.
