I hope your Christmas was enjoyable and you’ve connected with friends & family. Now it’s time to celebrate a brand new year with lots of possibilities and potential. One of your resolutions might be to put effort into expanding your social life and building new friendships. Once a month you can come along to Duck Soup and meet lots of new and interesting people celebrating being single just like you.

If you attended our Christmas networking night in December, you will have a voucher card for a free wine or beer at 623 In The City. Thanks for your part in making Duck Soup a fantastic place to meet new friends when you’re single in Nelson. If you haven’t visited the House of Ales on the first Sunday of the month yet, come along this Sunday for our PARTY NIGHT!  We’ll have balloons & cake, an open dance floor & PRIZES as well as lots of chatting & mingling with decent, friendly, unattached Nelsonians in your age group.  Invite a single friend!

If you came along to the Richmond Dinner last night: congratulations on getting out mid-week to connect with others and discover new friendships.

When you come out to the networking night this weekend: bring a really positive attitude and consider chatting to someone you might not generally think is your ‘type’ – just for practice. Join us at the House of Ales from 7.30pm for our monthly mingle where over 150 unattached Nelsonians get together for a low-stress, conversation-filled, friendly evening out on the town.  It doesn’t cost anything to come along and meet lots of new people – the environment is positive and safe and you’re bound to know someone there already!  Don’t worry about coming alone – most people come by themselves and a mixologist will meet you at the door and make sure you are introduced to someone to talk to.

Our low-stress, mingling-practice networking night is on again THIS SUNDAY!  I’ll be there after walking the Nelson Half-Marathon that morning – so what’s your excuse???  See you at 7.30pm at the House of Ales on Sun 3 May – a Mixologist will meet you at the door. Don’t forget to bring your Free Glass of Wine voucher from last month!

On another note, my brother and his wife, Jonna Tamases from Los Angeles are taking advantage of the great airfares available at the moment and coming to visit us in Nelson next month.
