Next Duck Soup: Sunday 5 October

Thanks for contributing to an amazing Duck Soup last week. The headcount reached 190 without counting our addicted friends outside…. and we’re glad we moved all the stools and tables out of the way! Our Speed Networking experience was particularly well received and we have some new ideas to build on that success next month. Next House of Ales meeting 5th Oct sounds fun it will be my first visit and I would like to know more about the comment: “Don’t forget to bring along your free house wine card and we’ll see you then.”

We hand out Contact Cards so you can write your phone number or email to pass on to people you’d like to keep in contact with during the month. On the back of these cards the House of Ales has generously offered a special – this month it is a free house wine on Duck Soup Sunday.

Duck Soup Charter

The purpose is to gather together like-minded unattached Nelsonians for social networking; providing a light-hearted and comfortable environment for those aged 30+ to meet up & have a drink at 7.30pm on the first Sunday of every month.

From that ‘monthly mingle’ event, we will ‘get out & groove’ by arranging activities like dessert nights, meeting up at local events & festivals, biking, dancing, hiking, fishing, kayaking and other recreational pursuits. Come out and join in!
