Ceroc Class – Feb 11
Adrienne, Mixologist| February 2, 2009 5:42 pmThe class is held at 7pm at the Trinity Church Community Hall on Nile St (opposite NMIT and next to Central School). There will be a Ceroc sign out on the road for everyone to see. Unfortunately we are not allowed to park on the church grounds so please park on Nile St and walk in down the driveway.
You don’t need to bring any special clothing, as long as you’re not wearing a wedding dress or tux you should be fine. Girls can wear high heels if they wish but it’s by no means essential although slippery shoes are certainly a good idea. We have water and cups for drinking at the venue although you are welcome to bring your own drink bottle. You don’t need to bring a partner or have any experience.
The lesson is an hour long and is followed by half an hour of ‘freestyle’ time which allows you to practice what you have learned in class with different people. After that there is a live band, The Bourbon Street Beat, playing at the Sports Cafe on Hardy St so you are welcome to head on down there for a drink and even some more dancing. All the Ceroc intermediate dancers will be there at 10pm after their class finishes.
Ceroc is not taught as a course so you if enjoy it on the 11th you can come back again any Wednesday you like without having to commit in any way. It’s social, easy to learn, good exercise and lots of fun!
We look forward to seeing you all there!
Kind Regards,
Benjamin Plows-Kolff, Instructor
